God loves us. But have you ever thought about how God rejoicing over us? My heart rejoices as I read about this and think about this today.
Just think about what God has said…
- Deuteronomy 14:1-2 (speaking to the children of Israel), “14 “You are the children of the Lord your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave the front of your head for the dead. 2 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Dt 14:1–2.
- Zephaniah 3:17 “17 The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Zep 3:17.
- Psalm 149:4 “1 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints. 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3 Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. 4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Ps 149:1–4.
What are you thankful for today?
