Currently, I am reading the book by Dr. W Lee Warren called The Life-Changing Art of Self-Brain Surgery: Connecting Neuroscience and Faith to Radically Transform Your Life. This quote stood out to me as it is something that God has been teaching me over the past few months.

“In that moment, something cracked open in my mind: Two things can be true at the same time.” (Chapter 5)

Dr. Warren learned this truth as he was going through both a tragedy and joyous event in his life at the same time.

He also cites John 10:10 which clearly demonstrates this verse, “10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Jn 10:10.

Joy and pain can coexist. This brings hope!
