Whew… this week was unexpected.

After a crazy busy appointment week last week, I was hoping that this week would be better, quieter. Well, in a way it was. Tuesday, a chronic illness flare hit very hard out of the blue. All of a sudden I was laid flat by it. Being in an appeal process with insurance for needed meds made it challenging to treat.

I was laying there unable to do much at all as my vision was affected and weakness was present. What would I do?

Recently, God has been challenging my heart as to whether or not I will praise Him when times are rough. Will I be faithful to Him or complain? Will I learn as Paul did that we can be content regardless of circumstances or would I whine? Will I trust our God of David who walks through the valley of the shadow of death with us?

God was giving me an opportunity to practice what He has been teaching me. Wow. You know what I found? Our faithful God was there in that darkened room as I quietly waited for symptoms to resolve. He was faithful through it all. He is a faithful God!
