Do you ever feel out of place or as if you were born in the wrong time?
“26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;”
Is there something that you question about the way God made you and who He made you to be? Is it your hair, your background, your disability, or life circumstances? This verse shows us that God had it all planned out.
Jeremiah 1:5-7 is another great verse to look at.
“5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.”
What four things does God say about Jeremiah in verse 5? How does Jeremiah respond? Have you ever felt as if you are unable to do what God has asked you to do and made you to do? Look at God’s response.
God knew how He made Jeremiah and knew that with His help, Jeremiah could do what God asked him to do.
It is the same for us. 🙂 When God asks us to do something or go through something, He has already taken into account who He made us to be. What a comfort and encouragement!
Note: In the next few weeks, we will be loosely following the study Defined, by Priscilla Shirer. Her book goes much more in-depth; I believe it will be encouraging to you. Each week in the study, there are video lessons to watch. I found them on Youtube at this link. The book and study are based on the movie Overcomer which is on Amazon Prime or available at the link.
