Love others. Such a simple command, but so difficult.
I don’t know about you, but loving others is especially hard when I am not feeling well (especially during long flares) or just with the daily life of isolation. Others may not understand what we are going through, may make silly comments, or not be there when we need someone. It is easy to concentrate on these hurts when you have nothing else to think about or when your own pain is great.
Love others. Love one another. One thing that helps me is to realize that the others around us are going through their own battles. Give them grace and think about the grace people have to give you on a daily basis. Try to put whatever happened in perspective of thinking the best of the other person. Look for ways to make the other person’s life better, to actively show love. This love is taught in 1 Corinthians 13, but is also summed up in 1 John 4:7-8:
“7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
Let’s love others as God loves us!
