Recently, a friend’s car suddenly stopped working. Testing for issues showed many parts that needed to be replaced. The cost was going to be quite high. They began digging a bit deeper. It turned out that there was a connector that had gone bad. When they replaced the inexpensive connector, everything else began to work. The other parts had just lost their connection.
Sometimes, our lives seem to be a mess with things simply not working out. It may be that we feel completely out of sorts, aggravated, or restless. Now, we don’t have a lot of connections in our lives due to the chronic illness and disability. Yet, one very important connection we can do and that is imperative is the connection with God. Just as my friend’s car “threw” a lot of errors when that connector went bad, our lives can throw a lot of errors when we have neglected our connection with God.
Guard your connection with God. Make that connection a priority. John 15 is a great passage which talks about our relationship with God. John 15:4 talks about abiding in Him completely.
I won’t promise a trouble-free life when you are connected with God, but you will run through them more smoothly.
Connect with God through time with Him, time in His Word, and time worshiping and praising Him.
