While listening to Experiencing the Words of Jesus by Max Lucado, this quote struck me.

“All solitude and no service equals selfishness; some solitude and some service, however , equals perspective.”

~Max Lucado

We are in isolation most of the time due to our health or care-giving. It can easily make us selfish unless we purposely work to serve in whatever way we can. We need solitude and time with God. However, we also need to serve to give us perspective.

The quote made me pause and reflect.
