I was a young adult when this song came alive to me. This verse in particular spoke to my heart.
The Psalmist longs for one thing. With all that the world has to offer, he longs for one thing.
“4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”
The Psalmist desires of the Lord and seeks after dwelling in the house of the Lord always to behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple.
While we may not have the ability to go to church, we can behold His beauty and meditate on Him even from a sick bed or isolated house. We stand in awe of Him.
