Endurance. I’ll be honest. My endurance is a bit lacking recently. A new treatment that is working means many, many appointments after work as well as doing exercises from the appointments. It is helping. It is exhausting. Yet, I know that what I am doing now is minor compared to what many of you have on your daily plates.
The life we live often brings exhaustion more than endurance. How can we keep on keeping on?
“3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
God. He promises to give us strength in our weakness. From the verses above, we see that God uses these tribulations to work patience which works experience, which gives hope. That hope keeps us from being ashamed and faltering in the tribulation, in the suffering. God gives us love. We have the Holy Ghost with us. What a comfort and source of strength.
How do we press on and have endurance? Through God. Only in Jesus’ name are we able to press on, to keep going. Through Him, we can have endurance even in tribulations.
