Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that even when we are alone and don’t know what to do, God is with us. We can trust Him.

I have mentioned that this week has been an unexpected medical week. I have lost count of the number of medical appointments as we try to rectify the acute issues all while I feel very poorly. Everyone has been kind and helpful, but some things are taking longer than expected delaying healing. As I was waiting to see if I would get needed medications last night, I realized that God is still in control. God knows.

I prayed that He would go before me as I went from place to place, would go with me. It hit me that even when He does, it doesn’t mean that everything will be awesome and wonderful and problem-free. Sometimes, He is walking through the valley with us, carrying us.

This is enough. I am thankful that He does!

What are you thankful for today?

Psalm 23

The Lord Is My Shepherd 23 A Psalm of David. 1  The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2  He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3  He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
