Peace.
Sometimes it can be elusive.
Peace in a world torn apart by division and strife.
Peace in the midst of pain and weariness.
Peace. Where do we find it? In Jesus!
“6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
And the government shall be upon his shoulder:
And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,
Upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,
To order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice
From henceforth even for ever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He came to bring us peace, peace in whatever comes in this world.
“27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Throughout many storms of life, Jesus has brought peace to my family. He has carried us through even in troubling storms. Do you know this Prince of Peace? Do you have His Peace?
