Twenty years ago today I began my current job. Today is a milestone day.

It was not an easy time for me. God had clearly directed me to leave a job in another state that I absolutely loved and naively thought I would do the rest of my life. I was being a bit stubborn about leaving and giving up my own will until my health broke. I had to return to my home state, to my parents’ home to recover from a “mini-stroke” and severe asthma. That was tough. I am so thankful for my family who rallied around me throughout that time.

Four long months of recovery and prayer later, God provided a job with my current employer. The transition was not easy, but God continued to direct. I have worked in different departments over the years. I have made many friends over the years and learned much.

A lot has happened in my personal life during this time period as you can imagine. There have been times when we were uncertain if my health would allow me to continue working. Yet, God faithfully carried me through, teaching me and helping me mature over the years. He is the one constant through all of this time. Today, I take a moment to pause and remember His goodness and faithfulness!
