God takes the hard times we go through and draws us to Himself. He teaches us during those hard times.
In 2005, I watched as my health continued to deteriorate. Breathing was becoming more and more difficult in the Florida heat and humidity. (I jokingly said that “Breathing was overrated.”) The stress I was putting on myself to achieve at work was causing issues with my health. God was directing me to leave the job I loved. I was resisting.
My last week in Florida brought what the doctors believe was a mini-stroke. I was left with intense virtigo. My friends rallied and took care of me until my Dad and brother came down to take me back home to Michigan. My entire life had changed.
During that tough time, I clung to a verse that brought comfort and hope.
“3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
I called unto Him. God answered. He has shown me great and mighty things over the years, often in ways that I would not have imagined.
I don’t know what you are going through today, but I do know that God is there for you. Go to Him and ask Him for help. He loves you. Call Him today!
