Wednesday Walk

How do we walk when nothing is normal anymore? How do we handle it when our life is outside of our control?

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to do something “normal,” something I could have done before the isolation. It felt wonderful. What a blessing!

It made me realize how much I missed “normal.” It made me realize how much I missed having some “control” over my activities, the ability to do something besides medical appointments and health-related needs.

So, what is my attitude going to be when I have no control or my health needs take up a majority of my time?

In these times, we follow God one step at a time. We continue to seek Him and pray.

Philippians 4:4-8

“4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

After my excursion Monday, life returned to my new normal. Yet, we rejoice. We seek Him. We love Him. We focus on Him. We sing it from the shackles of our situation.
