Music is a huge part of my life. I love singing and playing piano.

I truly miss singing with people since becoming mainly home-bound. Yesterday, we sang together as we walked the Jesus Saves cross from the old City Rescue Mission of Lansing to the new City Rescue Mission of Lansing. It was like a little piece of heaven on earth.

As we walked, I couldn’t help but think how heaven was coming to earth. We sang through the streets of our city. Jesus is a light in the darkness. We are His servants. Just as the mission is a light in the darkness reaching those in hard times, we are lights in this dark world. My heart was stirred.

One of the songs we sang at the steps of the capital was Amazing Grace. Oh, to hear so many voices, young and old, singing praises to our dear Savior – what a blessing, a piece of heaven on earth!
