Loneliness is something many of us walk through on this journey. How do we handle its pain, the challenge of loneliness?
This past week it hit me that loneliness can be a gift from God. What? A gift?
I was reminded that while we feel alone, we are never alone if we are a child of God. Think of these truths.
- God never leaves His children. (Hebrews 13:5b)
- God knows our paths. (Job 23:10)
- God is all-knowing, all-powerful. (Psalm 147:5)
What if God planned this time with a purpose for us? Does He want us to spend more time with Him? Does He need us to pray during this time? Does He have another reason for the season of loneliness?
I don’t deny that these times are hard, but only that God may have another purpose. If we see the loneliness as a gift, we can walk through the season (no matter the length) in a way that glorifies Him!
