Daily Dose of Encouragement: You Will Reap

Gardening is on my mind. My niece is coming this morning to do the garden beds that I can no longer do. Friends made wonderful raised beds on my deck that I can tend.

We are sowing some flowers, but many vegetables. There is nothing like picking fresh veggies for a meal. The hard part is waiting for the plants to grow. It is true, though, that where we plant sunflowers, sunflowers come up. Where we plant squash, squash grows. We reap what we sow, even though we have to tend the plants and wait for the growth.

We also reap what we sow in life, even when we may not see it for a time. Sometimes it is hard to wait for the crop to grow. Don’t grow weary. The crop will come.

Galatians 6:7-10

“7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

Don’t grow weary today, my friend. Keep sowing for God!
