Movement is so important, especially as we are home-bound. Move as much as you can daily, even if it seems insignificant.
It may be slow walking, slow calisthenics, or chair aerobics, but move all that you can. Here are some “workouts” that I have found helpful which have free versions:
- Justin Augustin: These videos have very helpful beginner exercises.
- Caroline Jordan: Some chair workouts are included.
- Walk At Home: This uses simple walking exercises to keep moving. Feel free to adjust them as much as needed.
- GrowWithJo: These videos are fun workouts that come in all activity levels. Do what you can, adjust what you need.
- Simply Hiking: These videos break up the monotony from walking around the house, back and forth, back and forth.
For all of these, adapt whatever you need, move within your limitations, but do what you can. Some days you may only be able to move five minutes, others more, but do what you can. (Some days, I can only do five minutes at a time multiple times throughout the day.)
