God has graciously given me a lilac bush in my back yard and a crabapple tree in my front yard. Oh, such beauty! I feel abundantly blessed, especially since becoming homebound.
Last night, I was struck by the beauty of the lilac bush in the light as the house was blocking part of the sun on the tree.
What struck me was that part of the blossoms were enjoying sunshine and were beautiful; part of the blossoms were in a shadow and were still beautiful.
Our journey takes us through sunshine times and shadow times. Our worth and His love are not dependent upon the season we are walking through. We are still loved, seen, and known. We are still precious in His eyes. He is a faithful God through it all.
“17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
