This study is loosely based on the study More Like Jesus from Not Consumed.

We want to become more like Jesus. We learned yesterday that He handled temptation with Scripture. He did not give into temptation. He did not sin.

Jesus (and this amazes me) went further. He suffered for us. He gave us an example. Through His suffering, despite the fact that He did not sin. He suffered for us although He did not speak guile.

Jesus lived without sin. Even His speech was honest, pure and holy. Our Savior gives us that example that we can overcome sin through Him.

1 Peter 2:21-22

^“21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

²² Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:”

What temptation or sin are you facing today?

We can follow Jesus’ example. We can look to Him for help in these times. The thing that makes me more amazed is that He gives this power to us even when, or especially when, we are weak, tired, and in pain. We can still honor Him and praise Him in the midst and follow Him.
