This study is loosely based on the study More Like Jesus from Not Consumed.
We are learning more about who Jesus is in order to be more like Him.
“5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
Jesus came humbly. He wasn’t wanting His own way, but God’s.
He came as a servant even though He is God. He was ready to serve!
He humbled Himself and was obedient even to death on a cross. Wow. He, the Son of God, gave all! He allowed Himself to be beaten and killed for us. Selah.
- How does this apply to us as we travel the road of isolation, chronic illness, and disability?
- How can we walk humbly through this and serve others?
- How can we show our obedience to God each day?
- How can we have our mind (our thinking) be like Jesus as we walk the difficult journey?
- What would this look like in everyday life?
This short passage is showing us how to be more like Him!
