Today’s tip: God gives grace for today!
Notice, the grace is not for tomorrow or next week, but for today. You don’t need tomorrow’s grace today. God gives new grace each day.
It reminds me of the manna God provided for the Israelites.
“4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.”
Or, the promise that His mercies are new every day.
“20 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”
God also promises that we will have what we need for all things, sufficiency for all things.
2 Corinthians 9:8
“8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
When we seek Him first, we don’t have to think about tomorrow’s worries. Did you catch that? Seek Him first, not looking for solutions to our problems, but seeking Him first, look what God does.
Matthew 6:33-34
“33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Today, remember God’s grace, sufficient for whatever you are facing today. God brings the grace when we need it, not before, not after, but when we need it.
Oh, praise His name!
