Faithful Friday

This week was a “time-warp” week. It is the first week back from vacation. In some ways, it flew by; in other ways it dragged. Through it all, God was there.

It has me pausing and thinking of how faithful God is. Our emotions and circumstances keep changing even throughout the day. Yet, God is the constant thread through our life. People come and go. Relationships change. Life changes. God remains faithful.

No matter what comes, He is our faithful God.

It makes me think of Naomi in the story of Ruth. Even when she and her family were away from home and experiencing tragedy, God was faithful. He brought a dear daughter-in-law to her who returned to Naomi’s homeland with her. He then provided for her through Boaz. Naomi even became bitter, yet God remained faithful to her. He had a plan, a wonderful plan. Both David and Jesus have her in their lineage. Her dear daughter-in-law Ruth was one of the few women listed in the genealogy of Christ in Matthew 1. God was faithful.

This same God is faithful to us. He has not changed. How have you seen God’s faithfulness this week?
