Watching in Thanksgiving doesn’t mean watching the parade or the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving specials on TV.
“4 Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:”
In the midst of living for Christ by treating others well, Paul says to continue in prayer and to watch in the same with Thanksgiving. As we pray, we do it with Thanksgiving. We watch for things for which we can be thankful.
Thankfulness is such a part of our prayer time, of our Christian life. In this season where we think of thankfulness, let’s remember to watch in prayer with thanksgiving!
