“24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.”
Yesterday we looked at the first couple verses. Moses was faithful. He took a stand for God despite suffering. He chose God.
Look at verse 26. He esteemed the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt. Woah. Egypt had many treasures, but those treasures were nothing compared to the riches he found in the suffering for Christ. Wow. Christ is greater than all riches in the world!
You see, he had faith to focus on the coming reward. Focus. He was focused on Christ, not on the trials or hardship or the riches.
Faith and Focus. Moses had faith. Moses chose Christ. What a combination!
