“10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
The people were upset after hearing the law of the Lord and realizing how they had not been following the law of God. They were mourning. But Ezra stepped in and let them know that they should not weep. Why? The joy of the Lord was their strength. Did you catch that? Their strength was not based on what they had or what they did. It was based on the joy of the Lord!
Our strength comes from His joy, not anything that we are or do. Think on that today!
