My church is going through Isaiah right now. It has been such a blessing! It seems that there are so many verses that simply hit home. They tell of God’s love and all that He is and does for us.
Look at this amazing verse:
“13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.”
With the life of disability and chronic illness, things can get intense and tedious. I know. Recently, new treatment and home exercises are wiping me out. There are so many doctor appointments and so many tasks to do to stay healthy. It can be overwhelming. Verses like this encourage my heart. They make me remember who God is and what He does in the midst of the adversity. He is our comforter. We don’t walk this alone.
