Celebrating Jesus: Yahweh

Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is Yahweh.

In the Scriptures, “LORD” (all caps) is referring to Yahweh which is God’s name for Himself.

Revelation 4:8, “And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”

Yahweh means to be. Yahweh is self-existent. God is Yahweh. Jesus is Yahweh.

Isaiah 40:3-5, “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”

Philippians 2:6-11, “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

What does Jesus being Yahweh mean to us? He is self-existent. Nothing is greater than He. Nothing we face today is more than He can handle.

Take your problems to Him. He is Yahweh.

Yahweh came to earth for us. He loves us. He came for us. He loves us. Let’s worship Him today and lift Him high!
