Grateful November, Day 14

Gratefulness: What are you thankful for today?

Today, I am thankful for the Psalms. The Psalms encourage my heart.

Today, Psalm 16:8-11, “I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Only by God can we press on.

Daring Devotion Thoughts from Day 14: Have you heard of George Mueller? He was a man of prayer who depended on God alone for provision and saw God work miracles. God used George Mueller to provide for just over 10,000 orphans by prayer alone. He knew that God was not limited. “My Lord is not limited. He knows my present situation, and He can supply all I need.” (Daring Devotion, Matt Conrad, Church Works Media, 2020)

What are you facing today? God is sufficient. What needs do you have today? God provides for His children.

George Mueller took God at His Word and provided for the orphans. I encourage you to read or listen to a book regarding his life. It is filled with amazing accounts of what God did through a man who simply decided to trust God.
