Tuesday Tip: Prayer Bible

One of my precious sisters-in-love shared today’s Tuesday Tip with me. I am incredibly excited about today’s tip.

One thing that I have been wanting to strengthen is my prayer life as well as studying Scripture more in-depth and effectively. Prayer is powerful. Praying Scripture is even more powerful. Today’s tip helps in both ways.

I have tried various methods of praying Scripture, but this is the most efficient way I have seen. The idea is to do a Prayer Bible, highlighting and then marking a Bible set aside for your Prayer Bible with color- or design- coded tabs for each theme. You can also use this method for marking go-to verses for times you are struggling, Biblical counsel, studies, etc.

The list of verses The Sisterita Club uses is found here and her tutorial is found in the Youtube below. (And, don’t worry, guys, there are many men now using the method in their own way now as well. Your Bibles may just look different than ours.)

I have also found several other videos with similar ways of doing a Prayer Bible. You can find them here and here. (I am sure there are others.)

I also found a free Kindle book which lists many different prayer categories as well as elements of the effective prayer time. It has over 2,500 verses.

The exciting part of this method is that we can use it as powerful prayer warriors for others as well as a battle plan for the times when discouragement begins to overtake us in our isolated situation. You can use what you have on hand to make the Prayer Bible or purchase a Bible to dedicate to the prayer Bible.

I look forward to getting started. Let me know what you think!
