Today, I am thankful for the people who care and reach out with the resources at their fingertips.

In the past few years, I have come to know many in the corvette community. Saturday, they attended an event to encourage dear loved ones who are facing insurmountable challenges. They came to bring joy and happiness to the family. Not only did they attend, but they also brought gifts and were very generous. Yes, they have cool cars, but I have seen over and over again that they use them to give back. God blesses through them!

Love Sews Ministry is one of the ministries that attended and spread joy through their talents and resources. The quilt they brought was gorgeous and custom-made. My heart was touched. They are simply giving what is in their hand to God!

It made me think of Moses when God asks, “What is in your hand?” Moses just had an ordinary old walking stick. And yet, God used it!

Or, what about the widow who gave her two mites? From this source, that would be about 1/8 of a cent.

And so, today, I am thankful for two things:

• for the dear people who gave to show love.
• for a God who can take and use the little in our hands.
