Today, here in the US, we celebrate independence day. Thinking about our nation, this verse immediately comes to mind:
2 Chronicles 7:14, KJV: ¹⁴ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

This verse is a call to action. We, those called by His name, are to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways.

Then, He promises to hear, forgive, and heal.

Meditating on this verse today has challenged me to set aside time today for this call to action.
