Tuesday Tip

Something I have found incredibly helpful is to cook things ahead in batches to freeze. Be sure to have good freezer containers and label all meals.

Thoughts:

  • It doesn’t take much more time or strength to cook three pounds of meat as opposed to one. You only will have one cleanup from that which saves strength.
  • You will have things ready to reheat for the hard days that you don’t have strength to cook. For me, this keeps me from loading up on junk.
  • It helps to have both full meals frozen ahead as well as meat cooked ahead and frozen.
  • You may want to have a certain number of foods meals as a minimum cooked ahead. For me, I keep a week’s worth of meals as a minimum.
  • You can even cook breakfast ahead to freeze: egg burritos, egg sandwiches, pancakes/waffles, etc.

Hope this helps!
