Tuesday Tip

You are loved. You are not just loved, but loved deeply by the God of the universe no matter what you have done or how feeble you are.

Recently, this truth hit home. A dear family member received a significant and distinguished promotion at work. We celebrated with him. Later that week, I needed some assistance around the house with a less than distinguished task. I didn’t hesitate for a second to ask him, knowing he would take care of it. He happily came to my assistance. Immediately, I was reminded of God’s love for us, for me. The God of the universe loves us and is willing to help with each aspect of our life.

Being loved by our God makes all the difference. You are loved by God. He loves you so much that He took the penalty for your sin on Himself and conquered death.

John 3:16-17 “16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Jn 3:16–17.

When you believe in Jesus to be your Savior, you are a child of God.

John 1:12, “12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Jn 1:12–13.

Love changes everything. Becoming a child of God changes everything. When we have become His child, we have a Father to whom we can go to with everything. Yes, the God of the universe, the God of gods, King of kings, and Lord of lords, loves you and wants to care for you.

Psalm 103:13, “13 As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Ps 103:13–14.

Because of His love and the sacrifice He paid for our sin, we can go to Him in prayer. We can come boldly to His throne with everything.

Hebrews 4:16, “16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Heb 4:16.

Oh, what wonderful love this is.

Feeling broken and unworthy today? You are loved. Feeling lonely and needy? God loves you and cares for you. No matter what you are facing, God loves you.
