Wednesday Wit & Wisdom

Take courage. Fear not. Do not be afraid.

The last few months have been challenging. God has been teaching me to move forward without fear, to recognize when fear is clouding my vision, and – most importantly – to turn to Him for courage.

Yesterday, as I was listening to Scripture, this verse caught my attention:

“11 The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.”” The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2025), Ac 23:11.

God was telling Paul to have courage although he was imprisoned and would have to go to Rome as a prisoner. Paul’s trials would continue, but God was with Him. He wanted Paul to be at peace and have courage in the midst of a trial as Paul would have the chance to tell others about Him.

Even if our trials continue, we can still take courage. We don’t have to be afraid!
