Tuesday Tip

Talk to yourself. What? Doesn’t that make you crazy?

No, sometimes, we have to counsel ourselves to stop negative thoughts and switch our perspective to Him.

Psalm 42:5, “5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Ps 42:5.

1 Samuel 30:6, “6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), 1 Sa 30:6.

2 Corinthians 10:5, “5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), 2 Co 10:5–6.

We need to talk to ourselves with Scripture and turn our thoughts back to Jesus!
