Thankful Thursday

Reading through five Psalms a day and one Proverb has been such a blessing. I am not always able to keep up with it, but I am so blessed when I can. I love how the Psalmists admit the hard, but go back to God. They proclaim His greatness and rehearse His attributes. My own heart is pointed back to our Father.

The Psalms today filled my heart with joy. It made me think of Habakkuk 3:17-19:

Habakkuk Rejoices in the Lord “17  Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, 18  yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. 19  God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places.” The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2025), Hab 3:17–19.

When all is falling apart around us, we can still trust in God and rejoice in Him. I am thankful that we have this truth!

What are you thankful for today?
