A new year is approaching. May I encourage you to have a Bible reading plan for 2026?
Ok… I know some of the struggles for reading the Bible with chronic illness: brain fog, concentration issues, physically holding the Bible or phone, inability to journal, etc. It is difficult to overcome these things. I am still working on it. A couple things that I have found to help me is listening to the audio Bible and using my computer for the Bible reading. I write out Scripture when I can. The Bible study doesn’t have to be perfect or formal, but as consistent as you can. It is a time to talk with God and listen to God.
Each person has a different way of getting the most out of Scripture. The method is not as important as getting into the Word. There are many reading plans out there. Some will take you through the Bible in a year. If that is too fast for you, simply spread it out. Some will have you studying the old or new testament for the year, working through it chronologically, or doing a topical study.
Revive Our Hearts has a Bible reading challenge this year. They also had a couple good posts about it this week.

There is also the S.O.A.P. (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) method of Bible Study.
Or, the Precept Bible Study method.
We will be talking a bit about Bible Study when the new year comes as it is so important, especially during times of trials. The important thing is to read and study the Word, asking God to help you understand it! We are happy to help in any way we can.
