Daily Dose of Encouragement: Filled

Jesus came to take our punishment and our relationship with God would be restored. That truth is astounding enough.

Yet, in Psalms, we learn that God also satisfies us, He fills our hungry souls.

I don’t know about you, but walking the path of life, specifically with chronic illness, I am often “dry” in my soul. I am often spent from the battle. In these times, I have to remind myself to praise Him. He fills me up. He satisfies my longing.

Oh praise the name of our wonderful God!

Psalm 107:8-9

“8  Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9  For he satisfieth the longing soul, And filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”

The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), Ps 107:8–9.
