Faithful Friday

Chalk this up under things I never thought I would be searching for: “What did people do for dish soap in the old days?” and “how to make your own dishsoap?”

The “safe” dishsoap I have been using changed ingredients. If you visit my house today, please ignore the dishes in the sink. I am also allergic to the gloves I ordered as the chemical I am allergic to may or may not be present (used in manufacturing) and is not declared on the label. We think we found replacements. In the meantime, my mom and sister assure me that the dishes will patiently wait. 🙂 If the new soap and/or gloves do not work for me, we will move on to another solution.

Yes, this is a snapshot into my life. The past two weeks we have successfully found three more products to which I am allergic. It is a constant research and adapt journey. There is much to do each week just to keep the allergic reactions away. My allergies are extensive, significant, and to very, very common things.

Something I am learning is that if I don’t rely on my faithful God, it is too much. Quite honestly, I can’t do it. I can’t do it on my own. I must trust and rely on our faithful God. But, as it says in Psalm 138, our God will walk in the midst of trouble with us. What a God!
