Giving brings joy.
It is so easy to be selfish and want what we want. This week, I saw that in my own life. I had a bit more strength and had plans for that strength. However, God had other plans that involved using that strength for a need.
To be honest, it took me a bit to get to a place where I had the correct attitude about it. I have the strength to help. Paul encourages the Corinthians that it is a good thing to help the weak and to give rather than receive!
Find joy today in giving – even when the giving is a bit of a sacrifice.
Acts 20:35
“35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ””
