Walking with Jesus is such a privilege. Sometimes, it is a difficult hike; others it is a leisurely stroll.
A few weeks ago, it was raining as I went into church. My gait is unusual and difficult on a good day. I walked carefully both outside and on what could be a slippery floor in the church, watching each step.
This week, my physical body is weaker due to multiple infections. It is easier for me to get discouraged during these times. It hit me that now is the time that I need to carefully guard my spiritual walk. I need to guard my heart. I must watch each step, looking at my Savior. I must guard my heart, keeping it focused on Him.

How do I do that? For me, it means spending time in His Word and prayer. It means listening to sermons and podcasts and encouraging Christian music. Then, I reached out to others who will lift me up in prayer. It also helps to encourage others and exhort them.
