Last night, I was with a group of believers to which I was brand new. There was a very sweet spirit in the room. As we went through a Bible study, the reason became clear. They had all, each one, been through the fire. They had grown through the trial and come out stronger. They had comforted each other in the midst.
Many in our Home Connections family are going through very tough times right now. Oh, those times are painful. Thankfully, our God comforts us in those times.
“3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”
These people lived in trying times. They knew hardship. Yet, they received God’s comfort. This comfort was then used to comfort others.
This week, you may be in a situation where God comforts you. Receive it and soak in it. Or, you may be in a season where you are now able to comfort others.
