Wednesday Walk

Yesterday was a two-doctor appointment day. Thankfully, this year those days have been fewer and farther between. As I was driving to  one of the appointments and praying that God would use me, I thought of this verse:

Isaiah 6:8

“8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

I would not have chosen this mission field. I would have gladly gone to Africa as a young lady. However, God had a different path. He chose the path of medical appointments, weakness, pain, and isolation for me.

Here am I; send me.

God chose to send me on a journey of disability, health issues, and isolation. Someone needs to bring Jesus Christ to the medical community and to the ones challenged by medical issues. God has chosen us. He needs lights in this darkness.

Here am I; send me.

Yesterday, I received news that one of my health issues is improving. The quality of my life will improve because of this. Carefully, some restrictions were lifted. My prayer is that I will use this new freedom for Him.

Here am I; send me.

How about you? What road has God chosen you to walk to be a light for Him? Will you say, “Here am I, send me?”
