When things are going poorly, we can bring a sacrifice of thanksgiving.
“22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.”
Oh, the entire chapter is a blessing! I encourage you to read it all!
“17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.”
And, yes, that entire chapter is a blessing as well!
Soak in the term, sacrifice of thanksgiving. It means that it may not come naturally or easily. Yet, we can be thankful and praise.
Our God is there for us even in the hard. Draw near Him and listen to His Word; then, praise!
There are other wonderful verses that talk of the sacrifice of joy and praise. We will look at those tomorrow. It will be a wonderful way to end the week!
