Daily Dose of Encouragement: Fellowship

One of the hardest things of my health needs is the required isolation. While I can now get out much more than previously, each trip has to be carefully thought through and planned to avoid allergens and germs. It means that going to church or gatherings of believers is not something I can do often.

Yet, Hebrews 10:24-25 says,

“24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Hmmm… how do we do that when getting out to church or other gatherings is challenging or even detrimental to health?

Well, it says to consider one another and stir one another to good works.

We can do that from our homes by putting other’s needs above our own and loving one another. We can encourage one another to good work.

The assembling together is harder, but with technology, we can even do that from our homes. (No, I do not mean it as a substitute for church and gatherings of believers who are able to get out, but it is a possible tool for those of us who can’t.) We can also exhort each other.

Lift up your head, friend! We, too, can have fellowship and encourage one another! We can be encouragers!
