Who are you? Who are you becoming?
We become children of God when we choose His salvation. As we learned yesterday, we continue to change and become more like Christ through sanctification. Remember our verses from yesterday which show that we choose to turn from the world and turn to God.
“21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
“12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
What are some ways we can choose sanctification? What are some things that you need to change in your life to choose Jesus? The world has so much noise in it. We must renew our mind in Jesus and follow what His Word says, rejecting the ideas of the world.
May we seek Him and His Word and continue to change to be more like Jesus. May we decide to follow Jesus each day!
