We have been learning about the Fall and of sin being imputed unto all men. That is a fancy way of saying that all are now born sinners. Sinners separated from God by our sin.

Yet, God loved us so much that He wanted relationship with us.

Yesterday, we introduced Romans 5:17-18. ^“17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) ¹⁸ Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.”

Do you see it? Our identity changes from sinner, spiritually dead (separated from God), when we accept this free gift that God gives us through His Son.

Through one man, our identity, our core identity, can be changed. Our relationship with God can be restored.
