Daily Dose of Encouragement: Weary, Part 1

Weariness.

Everyone is weary from time to time. I think of so many groups who face weariness: single parents, parents of young children, those working to make ends meet, caregivers, the disabled & chronically ill, ministry workers, and the list goes on.

Caregivers and parents of disabled children, in particular, can suffer from weariness, especially when they have health issues themselves. The time and energy it takes to keep up with daily needs, medical calls, and potential health flares is so draining. It is not a nine-to five, but a constant.

Weariness.

We have used these verses before, but I believe they bear repeating as I know many of you are facing weariness. God will give strength. He helps the faint and weary!

Isaiah 40:28-31

“28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Rest in His strength, my dear weary one.
