This study is loosely based on the study More Like Jesus from Not Consumed.
One way to get to know another is to know what they value, what they see as important, what they think makes a great person. What does Jesus think makes someone great?
“46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.”
Jesus sees that anyone who becomes like a child and receives Him, who is least among others (servants), is great. Oh, how different from our human way of thinking that the person who is popular or does great things is great.
May we become more like Jesus and adopt His view of greatness.
